Planning Your Estate Plan in Colorado

Planning Your Estate in Colorado

Planning | Our Pledge | Dispute Resolution

The laws and regulations that govern the myriad elements of an effective estate plan are constantly growing in number, complexity and interrelatedness. In addition, no two clients or families come to the table with the same set of circumstances.

It is important that you work with an attorney who understands the complexity of the laws that shape an estate plan – and how they intersect at federal, state and local regulatory levels. At the law offices of Sagrillo Kohnlein, LLC, this is where we have chosen to focus our practice.

We offer an unusually broad and deep base of experience in the areas of law that affect aging, illness, disability and estate distribution – including public benefits law, tax law, trust and estate law, and litigation. In addition, our Protocols affiliate offers the skills of nurses and benefits analysts who specialize in the lifecare planning process and Medicare set-aside analysis.

Because of our reputation in this area, many professional advisers – other lawyers, health care providers, financial planners and insurance companies – turn to us for the most up-to-date advice when their clients ask questions about trust and estate law.

Our Pledge

Planning | Our Pledge | Dispute Resolution

Although the Estate Planning process deals with both personal and financial decisions, we always start with your personal needs and wishes. Only after these quality-of-life topics have been thoroughly discussed will we turn our attention to the legal tools that will best support your needs and wishes.

We are easy to work with. If you are unable to come to our downtown office, one of our legal professionals will come to you. Many times, our first visit is free of charge; you are under no obligation to select us as your lawyers. At this time, we just want to get to know you and your unique Estate Planning needs – and you can get to know us.

Unless a case is particularly complicated, we will provide a cost estimate up front that includes the preparation and filing of necessary legal documents. If you choose to work with us, we will carefully monitor our work assignments and overhead in order to stay within the agreed-upon estimate.

We understand that “legalese” is confusing to most people, and we promise to use plain language when speaking with you and your family members. We promise that your phone calls will be returned promptly — within 24 hours.

Dispute Resolution

Planning | Our Pledge | Dispute Resolution

When there is a dispute, we prefer to resolve it amicably; we are skilled and sensitive negotiators. However, sometimes litigation is the only way to right a wrong or resolve an Estate problem. In this situation, we stand ready to aggressively represent you in administrative hearings as well as in arbitration, in mediation or in court.
